Celina Klohk is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores phenomenology, subjectivity, and the particular anxieties of contemporary life. Working across painting, animation, and installation, she draws on personal memories and lived experiences as points of departure.
Through an iterative process, fragments of memory and imagination are reworked and translated into images, objects, and moving narratives. Everyday moments are revisited, expanded, and reconfigured, allowing the familiar to shift into speculative or fictional spaces. Within these constructed worlds, elements of the ordinary are treated with equal attention and care, emphasising the quiet significance of experiences that might otherwise go unnoticed.
By weaving recollection with invention, Klohk’s work creates environments in which the boundaries between internal perception and external reality begin to blur. The resulting works invite a slower engagement with the overlooked details of daily life, opening space for reflection, ambiguity, and new modes of seeing.
Celina lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
